MY FAMILY!

My family are the most influential and important people in my life.

My parents are old ecologists  - personally, I would have preferred them to be old hippies, we might have got away with a lot more!!! –  so we are not allowed to watch T.V. during the week, only a bit on Friday night with our Grand-ma and a little on Saturday – usually a film, sometimes with mum, but often, just the three of us kids. Best of all is when our Grand-dad takes us to the cinema on a Sunday afternoon! Unfortunately, not every week! My grandparents live with us. Some people think this is weird, but we are really happy, because they spoil us when our parents are not around!!!

My parents are very conscious of the environment and waste and so we practice recycling in our house. We are often encouraged to try and see things from the view of someone who is less privileged than we are so that we can appreciate the life we have. It’s ok, but sometimes, when I visit some of my mothers’ projects – I cry because it makes me so sad. At home, we usually play games together and whenever mum and dad can, they play with us as well. We talk A LOT as a family. My mum thinks it’s really important for us to talk as she believes that many problems in families happen because there is not enough communication – I’m not so sure, sometimes I get ear-ache!

Best of all, my parents and my grandparents are always giving us lots and lots of hugs and kisses and are always telling us how much they love us – I love the hugs and kisses, they make me feel special and protected!

I also have an older sister and a younger brother. They are really cool too. My sister is always the “rock” and my brother is so cheeky! I don’t know what I would do without them! My sister and I went to London without my brother for two weeks this summer and I missed him so much. Then my sister went to Paris for five days with my parents and I missed her a lot too. My sister and I share the same bedroom and I really missed talking to her in the dark! We do that most nights.

Having a family like mine is great, you always have someone to turn to and you never feel alone.

I would die for my family.

So as they say in England, “Big-up for my homies!” (I learnt this slang last summer! I love English slang!)

    Hi Nadjas
How great! I would die for my family too! Thank god for having a mother, father and siblings, I am grateful. I can see your parents are very interesting and serious people.
You must have lots of fun recycling?
Lucky you… you get to go to the cinema basically every week. I can only go on the holidays. I wish I were in your shoes for a Sunday!!
Anyways, hope we can be friends and keep writing about your amazing family and life. You’re very lucky to have such a fun and great lot! ;)

    Hi Nadine,

Thanks for your comment. My parents are very interesting people, but I am not so sure about them being serious- you would understand if you met them!!!
I think you misunderstood, we only go to the cinema about every 2 or 3 Sundays.

I am glad to read that you love your family too!
